So let's begin..

Now in
window 7 first we need to partition
the hard drive
ร
So go
>> to MyComputer,right
click & Select Manage&
then click on diskmanagement.
ร
Here on C
drive right click & select the shrinkvolume.
ร
As shown in
fig below:
ร Now you can
select the size of the partition
ร
Click on shrink.
ร
Insert the Ubuntu12.10disk &
restart the computer.
ร
When you
restart you should be able to see press any key to boot from CD or DVD.
ร
Now the
Ubuntu Welcome Screen will open select your language & click on installUbuntu.
ร
Continue the next process.
Select
installation type as: something
else
ร Select the partition which you have created
ร Click on the + sign
button give your desired size & use the partition as logical
ร Location as beginning of
this space
ร Select swap area
on (use as) & click Ok, see the figure below.
ร Now again click on the free space
ร Then click on the + button
ร Now select the primary
partition & location as beginning
of this space
ร Use as (Exr4 journalling
file system)&mount
point as ( / ) & click Ok.

Now in the next prompt, select the ext4 / partition & click on install now.
ร After that common installation procedure will come.
